This workshop is a comprehensive introduction to textile artist Rachelle LeBlanc’s direct working process when working with landscapes and backgrounds. Come learn the advanced art of creating a contemporary piece that makes a statement with integrity. Rachelle’s approach to textile hooking is unique as it pushes the traditional boundaries of this heritage craft by creating innovative techniques and explore subject matter that focuses on the importance of line, form, balance, color and texture. The technique covered in this class can be used to design and create any type of hooked rug, thought Rachelle will approach the topic mainly through landscapes and backgrounds.
