Working in Abstract Expressionism with Susan Feller

June 17-20, 2017
Capitol Plaza Hotel in Montpelier, Vermont

As an artist who incorporates rug hooking with fiber arts Susan Feller has developed patterns playing with many different artistic styles. In this class Susan will help students develop emotionally meaningful pieces that use line, color, shape, and texture in abstract ways as well as discussing important contributions from women in the Abstract Expressionism movement. Students will learn the ways in which artists convey emotion and meaning without using realistic methods of representation and will be pushed to learn to use new mediums in their pieces if they choose. Come join a highly knowledgeable teacher in a fantastically interpretive class and develop your own abstract visions!
