Fourth-generation rug maker and custom dyeing specialist, Stephanie Ashworth-Krauss, and her family have owned and operated Green Mountain Hooked Rugs, Inc. since 1982.

At our well-stocked rug shop in the capital city of Montpelier, Vermont, Green Mountain Hooked Rugs offers a full line of rug hooking supplies. Choose from a wide selection of rug hooks, cutters, frames, patterns, hooked rug kits, backings, and dyes. We stock more than 200 bolts of 100% wool fabric, hand dyed wools, studio swatches, and wool yarn.

Annually in June, Green Mountain Rug School offers traditional and contemporary rug hooking for all levels at the scenic Vermont Technical College campus in Randolph Center, Vermont. In September, our all-new Fall Foliage Fiesta of Rug Hooking features classes and a personal rug hooking retreat option at the Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier, VT, with food by New England Culinary Institute Rug hooking and dyeing classes, as well as private hooking lessons, are available at the shop throughout the year.

In addition, we offer custom dyeing and rug cleaning services, as well as consign and sell hand-hooked rugs.

Please visit our online store for finished hooked rugs, dyed wool fabric, rug hooking supplies and equipment, and hooked rug kits.
